Mundhra Masterbatch offers a range of Masterbatches specifically designed for use with Biopolymer compounds. The coloration of biodegradable polymers requires the careful selection of pigments that comply with the European Norm EN 13432. This standard outlines the characteristics a material must possess to be classified as ‘compostable,’ ensuring it can be recycled through organic recovery methods such as composting and anaerobic digestion. It is particularly applicable to plastic packaging. A key requirement of this standard is the extremely low permissible levels of heavy metals in the compost.
